Do you know why we Light up Diya?
Do you know adhyatmik and Dharmik reasons behind this?
Every day begins with Diyas. Diyas emit positive waves that clear all the negative energy around us.
दीपो हरतु मे पापं दीपज्योतिर्नमोऽस्तु ते ।।
The light emanating from the Diya is in fact, a form of Parabrahman (Supreme Brahman) A Deepak is Parameshwara (Supreme Ishwara), eliminating the sorrow in the world. O Deepak(Diya), absolve me of sins. I offer obeisance to you.
Diyas always lighten up in the direction of Vastu. Where protection is needed. Deepak Agni is used the form of Aarti.
The importance of Diyas are not only limited to Adhyatmik or Dharmik it has also been one of the most important pillars of our economy. Since ancient times people are using Clay pots, Diyas and other items made from soil.
Pottery has been a very foundation occupation of our society. The work and place of Kumhar(who makes items from Soil) has been very important for us. It has always been there in the mainstream economy.
